Firearms Compliance Work for State Restricted Items

Massachusetts Residents and Fixed Magazine ARs/AKs

As of 08/01/2024, the only way to obtain factory new ARs or AKs (some, not all of them) is to have a licensed federal firearms manufacturer install a fixed magazine system prior to the item being transferred.

I believe the CompMag is the best system on the market right now for the following reasons:

* It does not, in anyway, damage your rifle. It is a non-destructive way of making a rifle compliant.

* Even when made "permanent" through the use of epoxy, it is still an easy system to change should you ever go shooting in a free state.

* Jason Guida, a leading 2A Attorney in MA (he represents many prominent shops in the state and works closely with GOAL, Comm2A, etc.), authored a public legal opinion that highlights why CompMag is the way to go.
